Crop Science At MagGrow
MagGrow is a patented, proprietary technology that significantly reduces waste associated with conventional pesticide applications, delivering your important plant protection products where they matter the most.
The MagGrow Crop Science team led by Nick Jessop work closely with regulatory authorities and leading industry and academic experts to ensure that customers are able to utilise the full benefits of improved spray efficiency from this innovative technology. MagGrow recognises that growers will have different sets of challenges relating to the crops that they grow and the regions in which they grow them. As such, we conduct extensive semi-field and field trials, to ensure we are offering suitable solutions, supported by strong empirical evidence, rather than just a product. In addition to MagGrow’s ongoing progressive research activities in Harper Adams University and Trinity College Dublin, MagGrow has recently invested in a new crop science support facility, based at the Farm491 Agritech Innovation & Incubation Hub, part of the Royal Agricultural University in the UK. From this centre we are able to conduct trials all year round to generate valuable supporting data that will enable our customers to achieve the best return on their investment. We also work with other leading organisations such as the Agricultural Engineering Precision Innovation Centre based at Harper Adams University, and the Western Growers Innovation Center in Salinas, California. The team at Farm491 also support new product development activities arising from research work as well as supporting MagGrow’s operations and quality department in relation to the company’s continuous improvement efforts. MagGrow constantly seek to validate their own findings through collaborations with regional opinion leaders, including: University of California – Davis and Pacific Agricultural Research in the USA, Agrimetrix in Western Canada, and Wageningen University and Research in the Netherlands.
